Amazing Eug

Although I'd seen it many times before during production, I must say it feels like a new game after seeing it here. The new soundtrack is incredibly good and easily the best music made by you that I've heard. Your UI is also incredibly well done and shiny, though thats something you ALWAYS excel in. I've seen your source and it clearly shows you've spent alot of effort in writing it and that you really know what you're doing. I like that the fact that you have optimized all your graphics by converting them to .png's, but on that topic, it seems that in a browser window the game only runs at about 15 fps instead of 20 - although I think the game would be be paced a lot better running at say, 30 fps instead of 20.

Finally, amazing game play, amazing graphics and amazing music (msn it to me :D). Well done.

Shhh.. Me and Viktim are different people ;)

I am so glad you reminded me that this game existed :P It wouldnt be here if it werent for you.
So yeah, I will most probably fix up a few glitches and bump the framerate up in the next update.

Or just start fresh and make a less-laggy engine :P

Anyway, thanks for the review- how goes your Hitman animation? When will it grace the portal?

Nice beginner tutorial

This is a very good tutorial for beginners at flash. It is very easy to follow, it's pleasing to the eye and the menu is easy to navigate. The only thing I can suggest now is make one for the more advanced authors of flash. I personally learnt nothing new from this.

Thanks for the review.

Very nice piece of action-scripting there

Your graphics, sound and action-scripting were truely beutiful. I really like the engine. Here are some tips for any future improvements on this game!

1. Add some range attacks. I found there that with nearly all the attacks, you had to be generally close to the opponent.

2. Add some jumping. Jumping would greatly increase the functionability of this game. You could use it for a dodge, but it'd look great with a flying side-kick on there.

3. Add some ducking. Likewise with above.

4. Add some real classy special moves. I saw the only really classy move there was the jumping spinning back-kick. It'd look and play fantastic with maybe some wind-mill or wheel kicks, how hard they'd be to animate I don't know.

Apart from that, the gaurd and throw system seemed fine! Thanks for such a great play!

Thanks for the tips Mulletman.

Good, but not great

First of all, great job, I admire your work. You did this very well, but I have a few suggestions in no specific order:

1. Don't mix game sprites. It looks so terrible because some are 8-bit, some 16 and some 32. They don't go together and it makes the game look messy.

2. Don't use Megaman X sound effects. I would have recommended the Megaman 7 sound effects.

3. Make Tengu Man fly lower and little bit weaker. Come on, hes damn near impossible to hit and one hit takes off one bar of health.

Anyway, apart from those, the game was pretty good. Keep it up.

Thanks for the input. For a matter of time I used all that stuff of older games. Now that the programming is solved, I'll try to spent more time in the graphics.

I came. I saw. I left.
